For the past three years, Shlomit Yarkoni served as Associate Director and Director of Project and Partnership Development at the New Israel Fund (NIF) from 2006 through 2009. She was responsible for developing the NIF fundraising base in Israel and for the development and administration of the NIF's non-profit organization, Signing a New. She previously held management positions at the BRM Institute for Technology & Society at Tel Aviv University and at the Israel Venture Network, as well as an earlier associate directorship in grant making and special programs at NIF. Her rich and varied experience includes managing more than 800 volunteers at the Latet international humanitarian aid organization, directing customer service at the Telecom giant IDT Europe and managing a retail chain of more than 40 bookstores. She is also active in numerous volunteer organizations, including the Center for Victims of Sexual Assault. Shlomit holds MA degrees in Archaeology and Linguistics from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. |
